Thanks for the update JJ. Looks like I better hurry up and put my entry in before all the places go.

Just entered Wombwell on BRCA site. Was surprised to find that had to enter details of the models for class I was not entering as well as the one I was!  :o

Yes Mark.
I had the same confusion. Raised a support Ticket and the reply confirmed this is the current solution for the Bike section to allow the classes we have in a single entry.

If you look at other section entries, like 12th circuit, they have separate entry for each class. Maybe it will change to that format in the future.

I also noted that lots of info for each class, but not the transponder number to help race control ? Guess its done for PR info not for race control.

Looking forward to racing bikes on a new track, last time at Wombwell for me was 1/8th Buggy racing with a Picco powered Garbo Gepard!!

Anyone planning on attending Rd1 at Wombwell, please book in on the BRCA website before 3 March cut off point. Details are on Facebook, but I know some don't use that, so please post here if having questions or difficulties.

To all
Thanks for the last 18 years
I think the bikes are great fun. But for me some people in the
Section have pushed  the old bike crowed to far.

I'm Not going to answer any questions on the way it's gone
This is my thoughts and mine alone.
So all the best to my very good friends.

By the way no more come backs . Not untill things change.

The Committee was voted in and are entitled to run the section as they see fit.
But this does not mean I agree  with the way things seem to be going.

What did I want as a bike racer, to race bikes with a group of like minded  people in a low key manner.

As bikers are a few and wide spread, meetings at various circuits was the only way out, and it got called a National Championship.

So why not hire circuit as a group and call it a Bike Gathering or something like that?, independently or as a BRCA Bike Section event.

Yes sadly,we have a few people in the section who's only interest lies with themselves and not the section......and they seem to want to manipulate things to get there way...very underhand......one of many incidents, when they bring one national meeting last year, down to the level of ganging up on the race director over a minor incident on track, who then threatens to quit the position there and then....which ive never seen in all the years ive been racing bikes.......you know your in trouble,if these are the sort of people in the section now.........

I'm very hopeful that we'll have race meetings even if we can't get to a national.

As Fred has said, we are also able to have meetings without calling them a "National Meeting". Whether this is part of a Club Day or as a unique meeting. Aldershot particularly have had a strong following, hopefully that will continue, Cotswold Club are open to Bikes (subject to numbers) Mendip should not be forgotten as a very approachable club in the past. Gary Simmons would I'm sure forward any requests to the Mendip Committee.

Please, don't interpret this as being an alternative to the Nationals or outside of the BRCA, we are all BRCA members.

So we now have until the 10th March to book in Wombwell Rd1 at the 25 original fee.
From our Chairman-

'Booking in cut-off is 7 days before the meeting at 25 entry fee.

During the seven days you may still book in up to 6pm on the Friday before the meeting at 30 late entry fee.

Really looking forward to going back to Wombwell after all these years, still got memories of sliding out of that fast corner onto the straight 8)
