2017 Summer Club championship Dates
« on: February 05, 2017, 05:27:34 PM »
Are not available yet   ;D
However, the last of the Winter club races is 12 March. So far 5 are pretty much confirmed for this one already.
As usual, Any class, any bike, all in together. 3 rounds of 5 min qualy and 1 x 10 min. final. Club Membership not necessary to race, just costs you a few quid more to book in.

Next club round is this coming weekend, same weekend as Aldershot National, so if anyone is tempted to go to Halifax to race bikes on this date, please post here to make sure of enough for a heat.

Yes Fred, Round 4 of the club championship is the 18th June, this coming Sunday. It will be the last club round before the bike National here, so a good meeting to get practice in.
I have booked the weather, the forecast is for 21c dry and sunny.
I hope you can make it!

Ok Fred, I do understand. Thanks for letting us know.
Our nitrobike fest will have to wait till the national then! (I hope you're coming to that?)

If anyone else is thinking of coming for the club day, we already have enough for a heat, but the more the merrier!

Next club day is 20 August. As there is no National in August, this would be an ideal mid summer date.
Too early to put names down yet, but have a think on it...

Hi John,

I'm thinking of coming to the club meet on the 20th August to race my Nitro Bike, but would I be able to run a nitro car too? I have a Kyosho Super Ten that I've never run so I like to give it an outing if possible?  ;D

Cheers

Of course Karl.
I often run a GT8 car as well as the bike at club days, maybe we can pit for each other?
It'll be good to see you back there!

Cheers John,

I'll bring it along, do I take it we wouldn't run our cars together then?

I think the 'super tens' are classed as a over sized 10th scale whereas I guess your GT8 is 1/8?

Pitting for each other would be great!  ;D

I'm also trying to put together a supermoto style bike from an Anderson M5 running brushless so I guess I could run that with the bikes at some point?  ::)

Cheers

Hmmm a Anderson MX5 supermoto, interesting. Would like to see that Karl.

My bevel drive M2R is made some progress, managed to start the engine on the weekend.

I really enjoyed the national at Halifax, and interested in coming to race, the nitrobikes look fantastic on a bigger track.

Its a long way for me so its only a "maybe", and I have planned a trip to Luxembourg for the IBC meeting the next weekend.

If you have a spare rear wheel then consider removing the gyro gubbins for an M5 supermoto, with a pmt 200 shod ali rim up front.

I didn't get chance to try this at a track but it felt almost like my old KP09e around Mabo bus station.

Mine is in its own GT8 class. Really not sure about a superten, I can almost guarantee there will not be another one there!
I would think better in 1/10 class than 1/8, although the speed and handling could be very similar to GT8. Simple answer - I Don't know! But if you come, we'll find a class for it.
I don't think there will be a problem with running a supermoto, just as long as the tyres are on road, not off road. I will also be very interested to see this!

It would be nice to see the progress you have made with this bike JJ. I know it is a long trip, check the weather first if you still want to come though.
