Me and peter have just got home from one of the best weekends racing we have had with the bikes . I would like to thank all the craigavon members for the very warm welcome to the club . Peter could not stop talking about his first national win all the way home .

Another great race weekend at the best UK track, really, the BEST.
Congrats to Scotty and Rab, Davro and particularly Peter, who's first visit to Craigavon turned into a win.
And Big thanks to Davy, who spent a lot of his free time preparing and testing everything for running the meeting. Also Scotty, Shane, John and all at the club for making us feel welcome.

Apologies to Fred though,  I managed to ruin his finals twice. In both occasions it was seconds in from the start and the first and second corner mad dash ended in me hitting Fred at precisely the wrong spot, the on / off switch. TWICE. Jeez. Sorry Fred.
I've just read Guy's report and seen his photos on facebook, stunning stuff. Take a look. I've never seen so many cracking shots of the 4 stroke! The Craigavon club is really lucky to have someone prepared to do all that.
Reminds me of another guy who did similar things and much missed by us all.

Lol!
Well Ken and I  are starved of fry ups during most days so go for it at race weekends. When we saw your new barby  with half a ton of meat on it we knew we had to make an effort to appear appreciative!
Personally,  I  had 14 sausages over the 2 days, plus 4 eggs, 8 bacon rashers, only 3 burgers though. Oh  and 2 cartons of chips with gravy, curry sauce, peas and onions. Mmmmm lipsmackingly  gorgeous!
Walter's (is that right?) morning specials from the chip van were eggselent.  soda bread goes so well with a fry up, could do to find out where to get it over here really.
Thanks again Shane.

Got home at 4pm this morning just got out of bed!
The scenery in the south west of Southern Ireland is breath taking.
Report on my weekends racing to follow once I have got the unpacking and washing done.

Hi all,

I finally got home after a fabulous weekend away, the van did me and my dad proud and it never missed a beat, if only my nitro bike was as reliable as a Volkswagen!  ;D

I can only echo what has already been said but I have to say a big thank you to the Craigavon guys, Davy, Scotty, Shane, John, you made us all very welcome and looked after us all making it a fantastic weekend. Putting on the huge BBQ was a stroke of genius though I dont want to see another burger or a sausage for very long time! Lol!

Shane, dont forget to check the pet shops for wasps!

Congrats to Peter for his win, I had the pleasure of marshalling Peters finals and he put in clean laps over and over, great to watch him straight line the chicane! ...and I think he has been teaching Fred some of his daring manoeuvres!

Well done to John for the double win, that 4-stroke really is on song at the moment and sounds better than ever!

Big thanks to Ken for lending me the tools to put my bike back together more than once...

Shame about Freds switch problems who'd have though it could have happened twice! What are the chances eh!!!

Hope to see the Craigavon lads at the Cotswolds later in the year, always a great venue for a BBQ, better get collecting the firewood now Peter!!!

On to Mendip see you all there...

Thanks to the Irish lads for a friendly and laidback meeting.

SATURDAY PRACTICE.
Ran the KP12e (stock) and the KP10n. Broke both in crashes in the fast chicane, frightened to go through fast the rest of the weekend.

SUNDAY RACE DAY
KP12e (stock).
Qualified 4th finished 5th and 4th
Liked backing it into the corners not the fastest way round but fun.

KP12n.
Qualified 2nd finished 2nd and 4th
In the second final got inside JV at the first corner we touched and he turned my bike radio switch off and the bike went of doing its own thing. In the spirit of Nitro racing we had a restart. Then the same thing happened again on the restart, I turned down another restart. Restarted the bike and carried on racing. (The cause of the switch being able to be turned off was the driver lost a leg in Saturdays crash, it must normally protect the switch)

Peter and Neal done the Cotswold club proud.

In the Nitro class Karl gets faster every meeting

After the meeting had a go with JVs 4 stroke. See Nitro Section.

Hi All

I've put the results I have got from Craigavon on the web. Unfortunately because they are from the club's laptop I have had to play with them a bit. So all I have is the finals summary and a pdf I've created from the final legs for you to view. Trying to fix the html linking got too messy  :)

Cheers Andy

Hi Andy

A bit more information for the stock results Peter KP9, Neal KP10 and me a KP12e.
I was also given a hard copy of all the results.
I still have the stock motors, so I suppose that means they are my responseability this season?
Still repairing all the damage done to both bikes in major crashes. (bent forks wheels and axles just to mention the major bits.)
