I know this has been mentioned before but would it be a good idea to run mendip on 8 minute runs to get people used to it before the worlds, I realise this coud be a problem for the software and could add about an hour or so to the day.

This way poeple would know if they were going to have any motor, battery or concentration problems beforehand

Dont all shoot me doen in flames in one go.... its just a suggestion..

er, would muck up a lot of track records etc, perhaps a session on Saturday during timed practisse run some 8 minute heats? The grip will be different in Germany for sure but it would give you a rough idea without wrecking the racing on Sunday. I know my batteries won't do 8 minutes so I won't be doing that and wouldn't want to risk ruining my racing on sunday.

In Leipzig we used about 3500 for about 9 1/2mins. Thats using a 540 sized sensored 6.5 motor if that helps you.

Published : the official report regarding the incident betwen Groeom and Newey
« Reply #7 on: November 02, 2009, 11:35:30 PM »
This is the concluding report re the crash between Mr Groeom and Mr Newey at the Mendip practice day.

During a practice period, there was a major collison between the two bikes being driven by Mr Groeom and Mr Newey, in which Mr Groeoms bike was totally written off, and never seen again for the remainder of the season.
Imediately after the collision when Mr Groeoms wreckage had been removed from the track, an official inspection took place at the scene of the crash. It was found that Mr Groeoms bike had been leaving a snail trail on the racing line. Mr Neweys bike, going at a far higher speed, got into a slide on the slippey substanceand couldn't avoid hitting the slower machine. The inspection committee have decided that if Me Groeom ever dicides to come racing again, he must put a 'VERY SLOW BIKE' notice on the back of his bike to warn other drivers of iminent danger.

The inspection committee.
