World Superbikes Demo Weekend
« on: July 16, 2011, 09:52:07 AM »
Is anyone up for putting on a display at Moto Arena on July 30th and 31st at the World Superbike Meeting. I've been asked to get a group of about 10 to 12 people to put on a show for the public. You will get into the meeting free. It will be indoors for the public to come in and see and we can put on an outdoor display for the nitros if anyone wants to bring their nitro along. The outdoor circuit is not yet finished so we will just be laying out a tempory track for the weekend.
Names in to me please as soon as possible so I can work out with Moto Arena who to add to their list.

Is there any hope of getting round the indoor track with PMT 100s  ???

I could make the sunday with the stocker KP.

If there is no hope of the indoor track as I suspect, then I can just play the marshal/starter role again.

Dont worry I will have spare wheels and tyres you can borrow if you have any problems. I'll post more details later this week.

I'm in luck then, just practice strafing the reduced number of targets like the bomber and I might stand a chance!  ;D

Good luck and fortune for the blessed couple that weekend by the way.

I'd try ringing the place or checking their web site/facebook page before you make any more plans involving MA chaps...........

Youbook page mentions nothing. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Moto-Arena/171901459518705
Moto Arena website unavailable.

Is there anything that you know that we ought to be told about?

Not going ahead this weekend as most people are going to Jevs wedding. Will let everyone know about the British Superbike Demo nearer the time. We will be running the winter series again this winter and I will post the dates as soon as I have them.

Ok. Rumour I have been told this morning is Moto Arena has gone bust.

So in that case the BSB weekend is buggered, as well as everything else......

I've read on another forum that they are closed for a couple of weeks to restructure management but it looks a bit dodgy to me;typical cos I was hoping to do some of the winter series this year. :-[

Especially when 'management restructures' don't usually involve pulling down the website in an instant.

OK. I have tried ringing them. Several times. No answer.

Their Facebook page has no info. Well, apart from a 'like this if you want us to re-open' which has only had seven 'likes'.

The test webpage posted by Phil has had no changes.

What has happened to this place? Does ANYBODY know?
