The other thing with sidecars is the stupidly small scale.  1/5th sidecars would be better and I have one in mind to do so watch this space.

Afew tracks we use are two small for 1/5th sidecars.

Hi rich
Can't see how they would be too small if we can get 1/5 bikes round them?..
I agree it would look better if they were a bit bigger... But you probably couldn't race the two scales together as the 1/5 would have an advantage??

By the way how does this gyro thing work?.. Any pics?

1/5th bike's are not 40/50cm wide plus models of this size are banned from certain tracks due to the damage they cause, 1/8th should be faster with less mass to worry about, gryo trims the steering servo constainly

Seems I  missed a great meeting for the sidecars, sorry could not join in the fun.

Neal - Great results !!  It will be interesting what mine is like with a gyro fitted.

If it makes sidecars easier to drive must be good.
Do we amend the rules to allow a selection of single channel gyros  for next year.

What about the two wheel drive options, is that idea binned now ?

Cheers Steve

I do remember seeing one of those Tamiya sidecars years ago, gave me the idea of two wheel rear drive.

The gyro I found is a car one for use in drifting, hope its suitable for sidecar use.
Its small and has a rate input using the third radio channel. No part number on the box its a "R/C Car Gyro for Drift Maneuvers". Winter testing starts soon !!
