carbon spokes
« on: November 07, 2014, 07:45:26 PM »
hey guys

i have made up some nice spokes and sent the drawings to fibrelite to get some prices..

Hi Davy,

each wheel centre will be GBP21.95 plus shipping in 4mm carbon. I'm not sure what you mean about the fillets but everything looks fine to me on the drawing...

if anyone interested let me know..

Davy - did you ask for a quote using full carbon? I always use their CSC material and it's signafanctly cheaper, so that might be another option to consider.

this is the types of spokes i sent...  if u look close at the red spoke i put some fillets (rounded edges) on the holes.

Nice to see some alternative shapes to straight spokes  8)

He's probably confusing your blended/bevelled edge with the internal corner fillets in the profile. They'll need to use a shaped cutter, as well as flipping the spokes over for the other side, so expect it to be more cost if he'll do more than a straightforward profile cut...

yeah...

im just worried that the carbon cloth will start showing and ruin the look of the spoke.
