Not quite that easy unfortunately!
See if pictures work for me today  >:(
All national bike meetings are run using the older AMB system...

MRT

The older versions work with the older AMB system that most clubs use but not the newest Mylaps sytem some clubs now use (AMB changed their name to Mylaps to confuse matters even more) there is an updated version of the MRT that is now supposed to work on the Mylaps system too but I do not know how to tell them apart.

Amb

These are the older AMB (now Mylaps) PT that will work on both the AMB and the newer Mylaps systems, there are no different versions so is by far the 'safest' bet.

Mylaps

These are the latest Mylaps PT but there are 2 versions the "RC4 pure" will ONLY work with the newest Mylaps systems which most clubs do not have and would not work at bike meetings! and the "RC4 hybrid" which like the old AMB will work with the older AMB sytems and the newer Mylaps systems.

Yet I had an old MRT that worked fine at Halifax! They use the new mylaps system.
Safest bet is to buy the mylaps hybrid. It is the most expensive, but guaranteed to work at all venues.
Someone has posted on this forum somewhere about mrt transponders not having as much power and if too high on the bike may miss laps.

I have a new RC4 Hybrid "Harry" bought due to problems with one MRT old type, with missed laps at Aldershot. Now using it in the sidecar and no problems.

MRT PT was under the metal headstock on an M3R, was ok with the plastic headstock. Now using the Mylaps RC4 in the same location on the metal headstock with no problems.

Bonus with the latest RC4 is the plastic holder, you can have holders fixed in several models, and move the PT easy as it slides and locks in. many RC models have mounting points for the holder (the Jabber has, not sure about other bikes)

Yes it is expensive, but for me its hassle free so far.
